Web development is a most dynamic field in my job experience that requires a diverse set of skills. Here are some key skills commonly I using in web development practice:
HTML/CSS: Fundamental languages for building the structure and style of web pages. Accordingly, the use of various CSS processors makes life much easier. I also like to use various static site generators, which makes my sites faster.
JavaScript: An integral part of the front-end triad. An important scripting language for creating dynamic and interactive web pages. Also I have some experience with Vue.js and React frameworks.
Responsive Design:: It is ensured that all of the websites are designed to be displayed correctly on various devices and screen sizes, as it is considered a fundamental principle.
Web Browsers Developer Tools:: I have a complete understanding of how to use browser developer tools for debugging, testing, and optimizing web applications.
Build Tools and Task Runners: I have extensive experience with Gulp, a tool for automating tasks and streamlining the development workflow. I use Webpack a little less. I'm familiar with Grunt, but haven't used it on any live projects.
Front-end Frameworks: I have experience working with various front-end frameworks, including Bootstrap, Foundation, Tailwind CSS, and Materialize CSS, to simplify the design process. While I have my personal preferences, I understand the importance of selecting the most appropriate framework for each project.
Back-end Programming: When it comes to server languages, PHP is my preferred choice. It is unlikely to become obsolete in the foreseeable future.
PHP frameworks: Laravel, on the other hand, is my favourite PHP framework. Its flexibility, elegant syntax, modular packaging system and blade templating engine make it suitable for a wide range of web applications. As a result, the vast majority of my websites are made using CMS October and CMS November, CMS based on the Laravel PHP framework. I'm familiar with Codeigniter, but haven't used it on any live projects.
APIs (Application Programming Interfaces): I have some experience with APIs for integrating third-party services or connecting front- and back-end components. Experience in creating a Telegram Bots using APIs. Experience with currency exchange rate services.
Web Performance Optimization: I always look to optimise website speed and performance, including minimising file sizes, using content delivery networks (CDNs) and browser caching.
Web Architecture and Protocols: During my CCNA studies, I gained an understanding of web architecture and protocols, including HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, and general web architecture.
Basic Graphic and Design Skills: I have a sufficient level of skills in working with Figma, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Sketch. Editing, cropping, resizing and optimizing images, preparing images for the Internet, creating basic graphics.
Soft Skills: I have a high level of proficiency in communication, a deep understanding of work ethics, a strong desire to acquire new skills and technologies. I can rapid learning and are experienced in self-study. With over 25 years of experience in IT, I have a highly skilled in taking initiative and achieving results.
